Natural & Whole Foods Cooking Classes in Morgan Hill!

Saturday my husband and I went to our first natural foods cooking class, put on by Morgan Hill’s local nutritionist Robin Nielsen. We had a really great time cooking up some tasty breakfast dishes. While I’m not new to cooking with whole foods, I picked up a quite a few valuable tips & tricks. For instance, a little diluted coconut milk makes a wonderful base for a breakfast smoothie (no really, it’s quite yummy). If you round it out with a little protein powder (such as whey or pea protein) and healthy fats from ground flax and you’ll have a quick and satisfying breakfast you can take to go! My favorite dish by far was the granola. Who knew nuts and seeds could taste so delicious! I’ll never buy pre-made granola again.

All of Robin’s classes are geared towards healthy eating and are great for those on special diets such as gluten or dairy free. I’m looking forward to her next class on gluten free baking where she’ll be sharing healthful recipes for muffins, brownies and pizza. For a full list of classes and dates you can visit her website at http://www.juvenescence.net/classes.html. Hope to see you there!

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave them here on my blog!  I’d love to hear what you think!
